Lab tour and Research meeting was held at HKUST(Hong Kong University of Science and Technology) from January 9, 2025 to January 12, 2025.
Professor Tsung from HKUST warmly welcomed the Korean team, which was composed of Professor Bae, Professor Song, and Professor Kim, along with their respective students. Jinwoo Park, a doctoral student, participated under the authority of Professor Kang.
The research meeting focused primarily on the ongoing developments between the teams. Korean team and the HKUST team presented their respective research topics, followed by discussions on these subjects. Professor Bae gave a presentation on Pareto distribution in batch processes, and his student Yunhee Kim had time to discuss about functional deterioration modeling for driving simulation deterioration experiments. Professor Song introduced major research contents based on financial engineering and the direction for expanding the global basic research lab. Professor Kim delivered research ideas based on LLM and the contributions which could be made to global basic research lab. Hoon Lim and Jinwoo Park presented the main research content of their lab: anomaly detection based on time series, images, and logarithms. Lastly, Professor Tsung and HKUST team shared research topics and their novel ideas.
This exchange laid the groundwork for future international collaboration, fostering a sense of anticipation and excitement for the potential ahead.
